John R. Manning is an author, public speaker and the CEO of KMI International, headquartered in Orlando, Florida. He was born and raised on a farm in Orange County, New York, and then traveled the world working in construction, and managing large construction projects. He serves as a director on the national CMAA board.

His portfolio of experience includes management of the design and construction processes on a variety of projects including: resort hotels; parking structures; infrastructure; mixed-use; area development; aviation facilities; defense facilities; and condominium and office development.
He spends his free time with his family, competing in triathlons, sailing, and is always studying new ways to make construction projects run smoother, and finish successfully.
